Callin' Out

Three reasons I really like this song:

1) Occasionally, Lyrics Born just shouts "BABY" mid verse, which I enjoy.
2) The remix begins with a tacit acknowledgement that the remix is a dead genre. It starts: "Well if you MUST do a remix... then this is how it's GOT to be done..." As in, 'well, Lord knows we'd all prefer you not do a remix, as it's a pretty moribund art form, but that said, if you absolutely have to do one, well, at the very least minimize the damage thusly."
3) Remix also contains "E-40 doing E-40ish things" type moments. He opines "I guess I'm just a ballaholic, mayn." It's always nice to see E-40 coming to grips with his ballaholism.
