Peanut butter cups
When I worked in Boston, there was nothing I loved more (outside of Al Capone's) than going to a candy shop in the North End and getting one of those real honest to goodness peanut butter cups. Not the pale imitation that Reese's throws at you, with its microfilm layer of faux chocolate clinging to artificial chemicals masquerading as peanut butter, but the real deal. A nugget of thick, brittle dark chocolate about the size of a man's palm, weighing in at almost a pound and concealing real creamy peanut butter inside. So good.
Can't get 'em in San Francisco.
